The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) All Share Index gained 3,63 percent to 198 517 points during the week to 14 December from 191 562 points last week.

The ZSE Top 10 Index added 3 216,92 points (3,96 percent) to 84 413,11 points during the week while ZSE Top 15 Index also ended the week up 3,85 percent to 114 633,13 points.

The Small Caps Index remained unchanged at last week’s level of 5 344 423,84 points during the week under review.

The overall market breadth was positive with 14 advances, 11 declines and 22 counters remaining unchanged at last week’s level.

In line with the recorded gains during the week, the total market capitalisation rose by 3,48 percent from $15,24 trillion last week to $15,77 trillion.

This week’s positive market performance is credited to Ariston, up 60 percent from $40 to $64 followed by brick manufacturer Willdale, up 42,86 percent to $40.

Financial services provider, CBZ added $663,50 (31,65 percent) during the week to trade at $2 760 while
Ecocash Holdings went up 16,24 percent, from $120,06 last week to $139,57.

Diversified media group Zimpapers went up 15 percent from $28 to $32,20 during the week under
review.

However, on the flip side losses were realised in SeedCo, down 6 percent from $865 to $813,05 followed by Edgars, down 2,7 percent from $92,50 to $90.

FBC lost $5,45 during the week to $951,26 from $956,71.

Econet ended the week 0,53 percent weaker at $719,31 and lastly, Meikles closed down 0,46 percent from $1 306 to $1 300.

On Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) the Old Mutual ZSE Top-10 ETF improved by 5,81 percent from $34,50 to $36,50 followed by Morgan&Co Multi-Sector, up by 3,33 percent to $500.

However, the Cass Saddle Agric ETF lost $1,10, closing 14,67 percent weaker at $6,40.

Datvest MCS ETF and Morgan&Co Made in Zim remained unchanged during the week at $9 and $9,50 respectively.

On the United States dollar market, the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange (VFEX) largest gains were recorded by Padenga, up 12,27 percent from US15,48 cents to US 17,38 cents.

Simbisa also gained by 3,48 percent during the week from US 31 cents to 32,08 cents.
