The 2023 US Open purse has increased significantly over the years.

Just two years ago, in 2021, the purse was set at US$12,5 million, and it was the most lucrative payout out of all the major championships. How times have changed!

Last year, the 2022 US Open purse increased to US$17,5 million, a US$5 million jump. And this year, the 2023 US Open purse jumped yet again to a whopping total of US$20 million.
