This month, Emirates introduced two additional flights to Lyon and one to Paris every week, from its global hub in Dubai, complementing its existing France flight schedule and providing even more choice and convenience to travellers.

France is an ideal holiday destination, especially the capital, Paris, home to some of the most iconic attractions in the world, from the Eiffel Tower to Notre Dame and the Champs-Elysées. Paris is divided into 20 arrondissements, arranged in a clockwise spiral starting at the city centre, which is where you will find many of the most popular sights.
In the first arrondissement you will find the Louvre, where you can queue up to gaze upon the Mona Lisa (or simply stand outside and admire architect IM Pei’s famous glass and metal pyramid).
Strolling around the streets of Paris feels like walking through a film set. So many directors have been inspired to set their films in this picturesque city, from Jean-Pierre Jeunet (Amélie) to Woody Allen (Midnight in Paris).
But it is not a case of style over substance — this is, after all, the city that gave us Coco Chanel and it continues to nurture a wealth of design talent. Delve beneath the surface, and there is an exciting subculture of hip restaurants, cafes and galleries, where the young creatives are doing their best to create something akin to the Belle Époque.
Wherever you decide to spend your time, be it the iconic city centre or the less-explored outer edges, it is unlikely you will leave the most romantic city in the world without falling in love.
Where to go The Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower is the tallest structure in Paris and one of the city’s most famous attractions. It was constructed between 1887 and 1889. Wine and dine in the tower’s restaurants, or simply admire the breath-taking views — you have not been to Paris unless you have visited La Tour Eiffel.
The Museums and Galleries
One of the best things about visiting Paris is the chance to see some of the greatest art galleries in the world. Join the crowds in front of the Mona Lisa in the Louvre, or seek out other treasures such as the Centre Pompidou, Musée d’Orsay, Musée Rodin and the Musée Marmottan Monet.
A visit to Paris is not complete without sampling the good food the city has to offer. Visitors to Paris are spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing where to eat.
What to eat Allard (French)
This traditional Parisian bistro has been serving hungry locals and visitors since 1932, with a focus on quality ingredients and strong cooking traditions. Here you’ll find classic French cuisine — think tender fish fillets swimming in a rich beurre blanc sauce, frogs’ legs, and comforting cassoulets.
Pierre Hermé (patisserie)
An essential part of any trip to Paris is indulging in a few pastries, and there’s no one better to guide you than Pierre Hermé. The former Fauchon pastry chef and macaroon master has two patisseries — one on Rue Bonaparte and the other on Rue de Vaugirard — where you can pick up a sweet treat.
As exciting as Paris is you will still need a place to rest your head. The city has a number of hotels to suit any pocket.

For travellers on a budget, this laidback hotel is a good choice, just a short metro ride from the city centre. There’s a French restaurant that does a great breakfast, as well as a cosy lounge. Book a deluxe or terrace room for the best views and mod cons.

Les3Chambres is the epitome of that most desirable Parisian quality: casual bohemian chic. The decor is a cool mix of colour and texture — think bright turquoise walls and antique furniture. Its ninth arrondissement location is just a short walk from the shopping arcades and the Palais Garnier opera house.
The additional Paris flight operates as the third daily service every Tuesday morning. Flight EK071 will depart Dubai at 0405hrs and arrive in Paris at 0925hrs, while the return flight leaves Paris at 1125hrs and arrives back in Dubai at 2000hrs.
As with Emirates’ other flights between Dubai and Paris, the airline’s flagship A380 will be used on the route. It will also have a three-class cabin configuration, with 14 private suites in First Class, 76 lie-flat seats in Business Class and 429 seats in Economy Class.
