Zimbabwe Cricket are set to host West Indies for a 2 match Test Series. The first Test match will start on February 4, 2023. The second Test match will begin on February 12.

A warm up game will precede the Test Series which is supposed to be played from January 28 to January 31, 2023. It will be played at the Bulawayo Athletic Club, Bulawayo.

Both of the Test Matches are supposed to be played at the Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo.

According to the CWI’s Director of Cricket, Jimmy Adams, “The tour to Zimbabwe early in 2023 will be an important part of our 2023 Test programme, which also includes series against South Africa and India”.

He added, “Having produced some good results early in 2022, the team will be eager to begin the year with strong performances in Zimbabwe.”

West Indies have previously toured Zimbabwe thrice, winning all of the three series they participated in.

It is a historic moment for Zimbabwe cricket as their team will be featuring in a test match after a big gap of one and a half years.

According to ZC director of Cricket Hamilton Masakadza; “Although it’s been a while since we last played Test cricket, our boys will be hungry and ready for some red-ball action and I believe an exciting series against one of the game’s top sides is on the cards.”

It is going to be an extraordinary Test Series given the talent both sides possess.
