Develop clarity self

eBusiness Weekly

Law #2:

Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a King then?” Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a King. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth . . . (John 18:37) I want you to keep to heart the phrase, “For this cause”. What is your cause.

The key phrase is, “For this reason I was born.” This statement is very rich, it means everyone is born for a purpose. You are not just born to live, work, earn a living and die.

There has to be, and there is a purpose for your living. It is even this purpose that caused you to be born to the race that you are, with the height you have, complexion you have.  When you wake up every day you need to remind yourself, “for this cause”. This will give your energy, motivation and focus.

What is clarity of self?

This is a key question in order to eliminate conjecture. What does the statement mean “clarity of self”.

Who are you? What do you stand for? What change do you want to make in your world? What do you want to influence? What keeps you up at night? What are your drivers, particularly your values? What holds you back from being all you can be?  This is more than just seeing yourself and your business in 5 or 10 years’ time.

Self-discovery, precedes self-growth

There is no self-growth without self-discovery. Who are you? Where are you from? What is your unique purpose on earth? How do you want to be remembered when you die? What problem do you want to solve for mankind? You see every great person you see or read about solved or is solving a human problem. It, however, started by discovering oneself. What are you passionate about? It is very possible to live and die an average life. The secret is simple; do not care about discovering yourself and your gifts.

Importance of clarity of self

Clarity with yourself helps keep you on the right path, but it also all helps you to identify areas for growth. Growth is intentional and not an accident. Being clear on who you are and what you stand for gives you the ability to the take anything that upsets or angers you and allows you to then see why you feel that way and if this is something you need to work on in yourself. There are so many things that are likely to offend you so you really need this understanding of self so that you can stay on track. It’s a way to grow as a person and become a better version of yourself. When you improve your effectiveness as an individual even your organisation improves. Clarity is thus important.

Pay attention to this

Many business leaders often forget to define their clarity of self. Do not lose track of yourself whilst being so caught up in progressing their business. How do you define clarity of self. In some instances, some business leaders define themselves by the roles they have, parent, child, business owner and not what makes them be a particular version of that role.

While so much of your business may be tied to who you are, you are more than your small business. When you sit back and look at that you will lose the need to compare, you will be more confident, and you will find peace in who you are. There is no one who can beat you at be authentically yourself.

Introspect

Spend time defining and refining what your business is, the change it wants to make, and more recently who you are. The beauty of having clarity is not what I am or do, it’s what I’m not and won’t. There is incredible strength in being clear on what you won’t stand for or be or bring into this world. There’s also peace in knowing that’s part of who you or your business are. When you find it and let it go, you have found happiness as you can be more authentic, purposeful.

It can be hard deciding that something no longer serves you or your business, but once you let it go there is a lot of relief. In other instances you need to let of go of certain clients or even businesses. Do not be emotionally attached to what does not work. Stopping something gives you space do something which serves you and your clients better. Strive to lead a happier, calmer, and better life.

Parting thoughts on Clarity

We are rounding up the principle of Clarity as key for effective organisations. Next week we move to the next one, but before I close here are some final thoughts on clarity.

Clarity avoids confusion. It can help you in decision making, in cherishing beautiful moments, in avoiding crisis. Clarity enables you to reshaping of thoughts for the betterment of life and your business. It improves the essence and quality of life.

There is a fine line between clarity and confusion. Understanding this will help in helping focus your business. You need to declutter your mind, and this is an important first step to gain clarity.

Decluttering is removing what you don’t need in your life. It also means adding what you need in life. Reading a book, keeping a journal, leading a healthy lifestyle, getting sound sleep and doing meditation, among other things can help you achieve clarity.
