Fidelity Life Assurance of Zimbabwe is a life assurance service provider in Zimbabwe with pillars in Life Assurance, Asset Management, Financial Services, Medical Cover and Actuarial Consultancy.
It was first established in the United Kingdom as Legal and General (Pvt) Ltd, Fidelity Life Assurance Zimbabwe came into being in 1936 when a branch was opened in Bulawayo.
In 1988, a local consortium then bought the long-term assurance division, cementing it as a truly Zimbabwean brand.

Its services include managing pensions, funeral insurance and micro financing in the informal banking market. Fidelity Life Assurance Zimbabwe offers additional products for individual loans, salary-based loads and loans for farmers.
Fidelity Life Assurance actuarial services include life
and general insurance services, healthcare insurance, investments and finance and funeral assurance schemes. Its asset management services include unit trusts, money market funds, equity funds, balanced funds and advisory services.
The Company’s segments include Zimbabwe and Malawi. The Zimbabwe segment is involved in life assurance and pensions, funeral services, asset management, actuarial consultancy and micro financing.
The Malawi segment is involved in life assurance and pensions. The Company offers financial services, such as individual loans, salary-based loans and farmers loans.
Mr Zvenyika Zvenyika, a seasoned accountant was appointed Fidelity Life Assurance (FLA) acting chief executive with effect from October 1, 2021, taking over from Rueben Java who left the post after resigning.
