Zimbabwe's central bank Monday introduced 10,000- and 20,000-dollar bank notes to ease a cash crunch in the country struggling to cope with the world's highest inflation rate.

Germany said Monday it will double humanitarian aid to Zimbabwe after the country's president and the main rival opposition leader agreed on a deal to share power.

The World Bank has lauded a power-sharing agreement between Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe and the main opposition group and has pledged it is readiness to assist the country.
